Crossfit in 2011 recap
In 2011- my second year of crossfit I have made some great accomplishments.
1. I Ran my first 10 K – the longest I’ve ever run in my life
2. Competed in 2 crossfit competitions- one as a team and one individually (where I came in 5th out of 28 women).
3. I increased all my lifts, some more than others:
Jerk increased by 45 lbs (135# now)
Deadlift increased by 65 lbs...
Last Few Minutes of the day... Snails Pace!

elizabeth is a bitch!
Did the crossfit workout called “elizabeth” last night.
The wod was 21-15-9
95 lb SQUAT cleans and ring dips.
Did rx weight, but used a small band on ring dips. The cleans were pretty heavy- really focused on doin real squat cleans which i dont usually do instead of power cleans with a front squat. Was rough.
Time 13:26.. Happy with that. My legs felt like jelly just...

Paleo Dinners
Paleo yumminess-
“breaded” chicken tender* pieces in a bunch of herbs (orageno, garlic powder, pepper..)
*No not like chicken fingers but real chicken tenders- that piece of meat under the breast.
made pesto (chopped basil, walnuts, olive oil, black pepper, sea salt.. skipped the parmasean)

How Much Water Should You Drink?
I have been trying to drink a gallon of water today in prep for an upcoming competiton.. I looked to the cf journal for more info on how much i should really be drinking.
How much water should you drink:
Everyday and pre-competition: Simply take your weight in pounds, divide by two and drink that number of ounces of water each day. So, a 150-lb. athlete should target consuming 75 oz. of water...

Food For Competitions. What do you bring?
I have an all day crossfit competition comming up on saturday. I plan to go grocery shopping tonight to stock up on snacks and stuff to bring with me. Here are some of the things I am planning:
Coconut water - for good source of electrolytes
Water - DUH
Fruit- Banana (good Carb) & Berries
Apple with almond or sun butter - (protein & Sugar)
Baked sweet poato (good Carb) and burger on...

FRAN.. who doesn't love her?
For those of you who haven’t had the pelasure to meet FRAN yet:
The workout is 21 Thrusters, 21 pullups, 15 thrusters, 15 pullups, 9, thrusters, 9 pullups. It is a quick workout but man do your lungs burn for hours afterwards.

Yummy Paleo Chicken Soup!
Caldo De Pollo
1 chicken carcass (place in a large soup pot and add enough water to cover, bring to a boil and simmer for 2 hours or until all the meat has fallen off the bone. Pick out the bones and discard. Add another 4-6 cups of water to bring back to a soup-like consistency)

Lunch Time
Just saw a guy in the lunch room eat for lunch:
A buiscuit with butter and he sprinkled salt on it & pudding.
Yum… Lots of nutrients there!
And i am stuck with homemade paleo chicken soup. Darn, shoulda traded with him.
